【摘要】:Thegrainstabilityofcalcinedpetroleumcokedeterminestheresistancetobreakdownof+4mmparticlesusedinthemanufactureofcarbonanodesforuseinthereductionprocessofaluminum.Cokeshavetoberelativelyeasytogrindforfinesproductionbutstrongenoughtowithstandformingpressuresandthermalstressesoccurringwhentheanodesareusedinthereductionprocess.1.1Thistestmethodcoversalaboratoryvibrationmillmethodforthedeterminationofthegrainstabilityofcalcinedcokeforthemanufactureofcarbonproductsusedinthesmeltingofaluminum.Calcinedcokewithpoormechanicalstrengthmaybecomedegradedduringmixing.Poorgrainstabilitywillaffectthegrainsizeandmayresultinpoorqualityofbakedblocks.1.2Thevaluesstatedinacceptablemetricunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
