【摘要】:Separationandidentificationofstabilizersusedinthemanufactureofpolyethylenearenecessaryinordertocorrelateperformancepropertieswithpolymercomposition.TheBHTextractionprocedureismadeeffectivebytheinsolubilityofthepolymersampleinsolventsgenerallyusedforgaschromatographicanalysis.1.1Thistestmethoddescribesaprocedureforthedeterminationofbutylatedhydroxytoluene(BHT)(2,6-di-t-butyl-4-methyl-hydroxybenzene)inpolymersofethyleneandethylene-vinylacetate(EVA)copolymersbysolventextractionfollowedbygaschromatographicanalysis.Detectionofthecompoundisachievedbyflameionization,andquantitativeanalysisisobtainedbyuseofinternalorexternalstandards,asdescribedinPracticesE260,E355,andE594.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificprecautionarystatementsaregiveninSection9.Note18212;ThereisnoknownISOequivalentforthistestmethod.
