【摘要】:ThispartofISO/IEC7811isoneofaseriesofstandardsdescribingtheparametersforidentificationcardsasdefinedinthedefinitionsclauseandtheuseofsuchcardsforinternationalinterchange.ThispartofISO/IEC7811specifiesrequirementsforembossedcharactersonidentificationcards.Theembossedcharactersareintendedfortransferofdataeitherbyuseofimprintersorbyvisualormachinereading.Ittakesintoconsiderationbothhumanandmachineaspectsandstatesminimumrequirements.Itisthepurposeofthisseriesofstandardstoprovidecriteriatowhichcardsshallperform.Noconsiderationisgivenwithinthesestandardstotheamountofuse,ifany,experiencedbythecardpriortotest.Failuretoconformtospecifiedcriteriashouldbenegotiatedbetweentheinvolvedparties.ISO/IEC10373-1specifiesthetestproceduresusedtocheckcardsagainsttheparametersspecifiedinthispartofISO/IEC7811.NOTENumericvaluesintheSIand/orImperialmeasurementsysteminthispartofISO/IEC7811mayhavebeenroundedoffandthereforeareconsistentwith,butnotexactlyequalto,eachother.Eithersystemmaybeused,butthetwoshouldnotbeintermixedorreconverted.TheoriginaldesignwasmadeusingtheImperialmeasurementsystem.
